Questions & Answers during the Webinar:
  • Is it possible to have paper forms?

    Yes, if you have NOT entered an email address or if you request it. In this case, the papers arrive by post.

  • Is the withholding tax exemption maintained? Who will issue the certificate?

    Yes, the exemption is available in the private area of the Maison des Artistes site, social regime.

  • How does it work today when a project is supported by a grant?

    It is considered as artistic income if it concerns a creation or an exhibition.

  • When you are a visual artist AND photographer, what is the APE and fiscal situation?

    In principle, it is the one that works that gives you the most compensation. But there are too many different cases to sum up. Check with the MdA.

  • In addition to my activity as an artist, I give lessons in my studio, how do I declare it?

    You can include them in your artistic remunerations (BNC MdA) under conditions of volume of income and number of interventions (this income must not be greater than those of the artistic activity itself)

  • How do we pay withholding tax if we are new to the MDA?

    Taxes (Fiscal declaration) and social charges (Social declaration) are different things: The withholding tax will be deducted from your bank account directly.

  • Does MDA encompass audiovisual production activities (eg institutional films)?

    No, not the MDA.
